On Wednesday, 5 June 2013, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Kaunas, on Tunelio street, at the junction with Girstupio street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 D and a Solaris Urbino 12. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the BMW (17 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (2.43‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
