On Wednesday, 5 June 2013, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kaunas, on R. Kalantos street near No. 127, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525, a Mitsubishi Space Star and a Mercedes-Benz E270. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.08‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
