On Saturday, 8 June 2013, in the evening at 21:54, in Telšių district municipality, on Plungės street near No. 14, a Volkswagen Golf hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person died — a 77-year-old pedestrian. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed.
