On Sunday, 9 June 2013, in the evening at 20:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zapyškis–Šakiai national road (kilometre 9), a BMW 525 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the BMW (30 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
