On Monday, 10 June 2013, in the afternoon at 11:45, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vievis–Aukštadvaris national road (kilometre 13), a Mazda 626 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Mazda (23 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.51‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet.
