On Friday, 14 June 2013, in the morning at around 10:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Senojo Obelyno village, on the Skaudvilė–Upyna–Balsiai regional road (kilometre 20.83), a BMW 740 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (8 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
