On Friday, 14 June 2013, in the afternoon at 16:02, in Plungės district municipality, on the Plungė–Vėžaičiai national road (kilometre 8.60), at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Citroen C5 and a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. One person was injured — a 55-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Citroen (28 years of driving experience), who failed to comply with road signs or markings and violated overtaking rules.
