On Friday, 14 June 2013, in the afternoon at 15:20, in Prienų district municipality, on the Antakalnis–Jieznas–Alytus–Merkinė national road (kilometre 34.76), a vehicle ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
