On Sunday, 16 June 2013, in the evening at around 18:00, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Raseiniai–Baisogala national road (kilometre 15.28), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Audi 100 and a Volkswagen Golf. Three people were injured — a 68-year-old passenger of the Audi (hospitalized), the 56-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (hospitalized) and a 73-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Audi (10 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
