On Sunday, 16 June 2013, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Alytus, on Kalniškės street, at the junction with Ūdrijos street, a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved a Volvo FH12 registered in Belarus and a Schmitz registered in Belarus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Volvo (a citizen of Belarus) (25 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
