On Wednesday, 19 June 2013, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kaunas, on Kuršių street, at the junction with Žemaičių pl., a Rover 214 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Rover (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
