On Monday, 24 June 2013, in the morning at around 8:00, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Anykščiai–Troškūnai–Panevėžys national road (kilometre 1.30), an Opel Astra rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Opel (17 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.18‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
