On Monday, 24 June 2013, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Kaunas, on Puodžių street, at the junction with Birštono street, a Volkswagen Golf hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.06‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
