On Friday, 21 June 2013, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kazlų Rūdos municipality, on the Kazlų Rūda–Bagotoji regional road (kilometre 9.70), a Volkswagen Golf rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.27‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
