On Saturday, 29 June 2013, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 70), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Nissan Micra and an Ikarus 260. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Nissan (6 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
