On Sunday, 30 June 2013, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Prienų district municipality, on Vytauto street, a Volkswagen Passat ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (14 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.49‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
