On Tuesday, 2 July 2013, in the evening at 17:35, in Radviliškio district municipality, on the Raseiniai–Tytuvėnai–Radviliškis national road (kilometre 45.40), a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.25‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
