On Friday, 28 June 2013, in the morning at around 7:00, in Kretingos district municipality, on Dariaus ir Girėno street, at the junction with S. Nėries street, a Volkswagen Passat hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene.
