On Thursday, 4 July 2013, at night at 1:50, in Rokiškio district municipality, Panemunio village, on the Pandėlys–Suvainiškis–Nereta regional road (kilometre 6.93), a Mazda 323 F ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Mazda (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.28‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
