On Wednesday, 3 July 2013, in the evening at 17:22, in Kaunas, on Baltų pr. near No. 53, a BMW 525 D hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people died — a 43-year-old pedestrian and a 9-year-old pedestrian. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (2 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
