On Tuesday, 2 July 2013, in the evening at around 20:00, in Šilutės district municipality, on the Juknaičiai–Pašyšiai–Kulėšai regional road (kilometre 4.70), a Mazda 323 hit an obstacle. One person was injured — a 4-year-old passenger of the Mazda (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
