On Friday, 5 July 2013, in the evening at 19:30, in Prienų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 68.30), a Renault Thalia registered in Poland hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 77-year-old driver of the Renault (a citizen of Poland) (40 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations.
