On Saturday, 6 July 2013, in the morning at 9:01, in Šiauliai, on Šaltalankių street, at the junction with Karklų street, a BMW 525 TDS rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the BMW (18 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.10‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
