On Sunday, 7 July 2013, at night at 2:07, in Šiauliai, on Rūdės street near No. 27, a BMW 530 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.64‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene.
