On Thursday, 11 July 2013, in the evening at 17:05, in Kaunas, on Birštono street near No. 7, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 and a Seat Leon. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (2 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
