On Friday, 19 July 2013, in the afternoon at 15:35, in Jonavos district municipality, Išorų village, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 18.05), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FH12 registered in Poland, a Toyota RAV4 and a Nissan Almera. One person was injured — the 64-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the driver of the Volvo (a citizen of Poland) (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
