On Wednesday, 24 July 2013, in the evening at 22:25, in Rietavo municipality, Sauslaukio village, on Beržų street, at the junction with Akacijų street, a collision with a moped occurred. The collision involved a Generic B05 (CRACKER) registered in Germany and a Renault Megane. Two people were injured — the 17-year-old driver of the Generic (treated as an outpatient) and a 15-year-old passenger of the Generic (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a helmet). The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Generic, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
