On Wednesday, 24 July 2013, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Šilutės district municipality, Vanagių village, on Pievų street, a T hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the T, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.49‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
