On Friday, 26 July 2013, in the morning at 7:45, in Jonavos district municipality, Išorų village, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 18), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT XF 105.460 registered in Latvia and a Volkswagen Bora. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the DAF (a citizen of Latvia) (26 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
