On Sunday, 28 July 2013, in the afternoon at 12:20, in Utenos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 128.42), a Volvo V40 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.79‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
