On Monday, 29 July 2013, in the morning at around 7:00, in Ukmergės district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 63), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 Avant and a Volvo V70. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Audi (3 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and fell asleep at the wheel. He was drunk (2.09‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
