On Tuesday, 30 July 2013, in the morning at 9:35, in Šilalės district municipality, Papynaujo village, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 96.11), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a vehicle and a Peugeot 605. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who violated overtaking rules. He fled the scene.
