On Friday, 2 August 2013, in the morning at 9:47, in Šiauliai, on Serbentų street near No. 92, a Renault Laguna registered in Great Britain hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 35-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized) and a 10-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Renault (8 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
