On Tuesday, 6 August 2013, in the afternoon at 13:58, in Joniškio district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 4.30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a MTZ Belarus-892 and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the MTZ (1 year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
