On Wednesday, 7 August 2013, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Kaunas, on Raudondvario pl., at the junction with Brastos street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz E230, an Opel Vectra, a Ford Transit FT 300 and a Renault Kangoo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (1 year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations, failed to give way when changing direction and failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
