On Thursday, 8 August 2013, in the morning at 10:20, in Prienų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 102.17), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Avensis and an Audi A6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Toyota (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. The 41-year-old driver of the Audi had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
