On Friday, 9 August 2013, in the morning at 6:48, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 126), a BMW 525 D registered in Belarus hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the BMW (a citizen of Belarus) (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. The BMW had recorded faults (padangų). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
