On Monday, 12 August 2013, in the afternoon at 12:25, in Marijampolės municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 60.40), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Scania (24 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
