On Tuesday, 13 August 2013, in the afternoon at 15:50, in Kaunas, on Žeimenos street, at the junction with Kalniečių street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The accident was caused by the 77-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober.
