On Saturday, 24 August 2013, in the afternoon at 15:13, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) national road (kilometre 222), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a 021, a Volkswagen Passat, a 021 and a 2PTS-6 Nenurodoma. One person was injured — a 59-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 72-year-old driver of the 021 (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
