On Friday, 30 August 2013, in the afternoon at 16:10, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 298), a Seat Alhambra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Seat (15 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
