On Friday, 30 August 2013, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on T. Masiulio street, at the junction with Raudonojo Kryžiaus street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Modus, an Audi A3, a Citroen C4, a Volkswagen Golf, a Volkswagen Bora and a Volkswagen Golf. One person was injured — the 82-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Bora (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Renault (12 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
