On Monday, 9 September 2013, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Šakių district municipality, Kidulių village, on Nemuno street near No. 99, in a yard, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Ford Fiesta, a Saab 9-3 and an Opel Astra-G-Caravan. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.98‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
