On Friday, 13 September 2013, at night at 23:15, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on Vilniaus street near No. 1, an Audi 80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.71‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
