On Saturday, 14 September 2013, at night at 23:15, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Alytus–Simnas–Kalvarija national road (kilometre 4.97), a Seat Ibiza hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Seat (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.64‰ blood alcohol).
