On Friday, 20 September 2013, in the morning at around 7:00, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 58.60), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT XF95 registered in Latvia, a Krone SDP27 registered in Latvia, a Krone SDP27 and a Volvo FH12. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the DAF (a citizen of Latvia) (12 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
