On Monday, 7 October 2013, in the evening at around 22:00, in Jurbarko district municipality, on Lauko street, at the junction with Kęstučio street, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz and a BMW 316. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (2.91‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
