On Saturday, 12 October 2013, in the evening at 19:33, in Širvintų district municipality, on the Širvintos–Bagaslaviškis–Kaliakiemiai regional road (kilometre 3.10), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 and an Audi A6 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Audi A4, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.60‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
