On Saturday, 19 October 2013, in the evening at 21:19, in Telšių district municipality, on Plungės street, at the junction with Alyvų street, a Ford Galaxy hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 61-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties and failed to choose a safe speed. She had no driving licence. The driver was sober.
