On Monday, 14 October 2013, in the evening at 19:30, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 56.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A8 and a Ford Mondeo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 65-year-old driver of the Audi (35 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
